Do you know about the Snipping Tool by Microsoft which gets shipped with every Microsoft Windows version since Microsoft Windows 7 and is marvelous to take screenshots with? You Don't? That's okay. Let me help you!

The Snipping Tool by Microsoft ist a tool developed by Microsoft and is useful to quickly take screenshots of a selected area of your screen to save it. It also automatically copies the image to your clipboard so you can paste it into Programms like Photoshop or paste it into a Tweet in your browser without the need to save it locally! Doesn't it sound nice, does it?

So you're probably wondering how to use it! That's easy! The quickest way ist to hit the Windows button on your keyboard, type Snipping Tool and press Enter. The Snipping Tool now appears in a slick rectangular bar on your screen. Just go ahead and hit the New button. Hold down the left mouse button and select the area you want to have a screenshot of. Now release the mouse and guess what? THAT'S IT! You have successfully taken a screenshot. Wasn't that easy?

Like I said earlier, it is automatically copied to your clipboard and ready to be pasted into where ever you want. But you can also edit it. Mark text. Or draw on it. It is up to you! You can also save the image on your Hard Drive when you press the Save button which is using the popular Floppy Disk Icon.

Isn't that convenient?

Thanks for reading my little guide for the Snipping Tool by Microsoft.
